March 7, 2008 – Infocom Technologies Incorporated organized an event entitled “IP Telephony Summit 2008: Meeting the Demands of Mission-Critical Businesses with Next-Generation Voice Networks” at the Makati Shagri-la Hotel. This event was carried out to further strengthen the marketing and information campaign of Infocom Technologies as an Information Technology Solutions Provider for businesses. In line with this campaign, Infocom has partnered with different hardware and software vendors to offer total solutions to its clients – from connectivity to security and IP-based systems. Infocom has now become a one-stop IT shop for its clients since the company now has the capacity to customize its packages to the needs of its customers. Infocom, having a diverse portfolio of brands can tailor-fit its offerings based on the client’s existing network architecture, financial capability, company size and business direction. Infocom now has the capacity to fulfill each client’s requirements since the company can modify its hardware, software and connectivity offerings, with the help of its business partners. Infocom launched, through its Corporate Services Business Group Unit Head, Mr. Voltaire Manahan, its newest products, i-Talk and i-Converge, two products under the Voice Over Broadband Campaign. Infocom’s Voice Over Broadband is an inexpensive solution that allows you to make and receive phone calls over the Internet using Voice over IP technology at rates that are 85% cheaper than IDD calls made through landline or even mobile phones. Each iTalk Plan includes an IP Phone, outbound VoIP minutes and one World number for unlimited inbound calling. Plus, clients can make unlimited IDD and NDD calls to other iTalk subscribers without charges. iConverge, on the other hand, is Infocom’s full IP-PBX solution delivering reliable and future-proof customized packages that can work with clients’ existing infrastructure, or enable full IP telephony migration – depending on corporate direction and budget. Created in partnership with some of the world’s renowned IP telephony manufacturers, iConverge integrated IP telephony systems are offered as Premise-based end-to-end IP-PBX solution, or as Hosted Manpower and Facility Outsourcing. During the IP Telephony Summit, ePLDT and Huawei Technologies, Infocom’s business partners, touched on the details of the Voice Over Broadband offering and were able to showcase their various solutions to more than 200 participants coming from various industries such as Finance, Academe, Manufacturing, Import and Export Sector, BPO, Call Center, Government and IT. The Hosted IP Contact Center Solution for Call Centers was presented by Miss Yohlie Jarlego, ePLDT’s AVP for IP Contact Center Solution to show the easier way of maximizing technology when running a call center business. Head of Datacom Mr. Mike Shen and Product Manager Ray Tang of Huawei Technologies, on the other hand, presented the premise-based IP telephony solutions. The event ended with a blast. During the Question and Answer Portion, most of the participants’ interest has been stirred up when they posted numerous questions to the panel searching for answers as to how technology can further help them save on cost and improve their operations. This event is the first among the series of roadshows planned for the rest of the year, whereby Infocom will co-present with other IT vendors to tackle other facets of networking and communication such as security, wireless communication and videoconferencing. It is likewise just the beginning of the partnership and networking amongst the attendees of the Summit. Infocom believes that with this event, lasting bond will be established between Infocom and the companies that were present during the event creating a win-win scenario and relationship with one another.
