Xavier Science Foundation is a legal, non-stock, non-profit, non-government, community development foundation established to support program and projects that address poverty alleviation and social empowerment. Today, poverty is experienced by people who are lacking the opportunity to realize their desires and needs and whose opportunities for self-fulfilment are restricted. What we aim for is to pave the way for allowing the same opportunities for everybody. We believe promoting the empowerment of people is a transformative strategy that creates opportunity to achieving poverty eradication. There is a significant number of projects geared towards community development and empowerment in Cagayan de Oro City. Our support to such projects focuses on the development and the creation of a supportive environment for people who are excluded from growth and wealth creation. Xavier Science Foundation strengthens the empowerment processes through all of our aid instruments, from budget support to micro level projects, and, at the same time, aids in the alleviation of the persistence of poverty.
