Very memorable stay!
We will never forget our stay in Alegria thanks to the wonder family who owns it! Jen, who runs everything and checks you in, is so sweet, extremely helpful, and makes sure you have the best stay while you're there. Everyone there is extremely down to earth and makes you feel like part of the family. There is snorkeling out behind the hotel and you can use snorkel gear from them if need. They are also in the process of finishing their diving establishment which will be so nice, I can't wait to return once it is.
The second day we went to Kawasan falls with Christian (highly recommended guide/human!!!) and had an amazing Canyoneering adventure. We had so much fun that we decided to extend our stay another day and rented a boat to Pescador island to snorkel the reef, then to Moalbol for the sardine run (such a unique experience) and then swam with turtles. Overall our stay was unforgettable and made amazing friends with the family. I would definitely recommend staying here!!
A Work in Progress
Alegria is the closest town to Kawasan Falls and this resort is perfect for a short stay. The resort is a work in progress. The nephew of the owner took me on a tour and told me of their future plans for the resort. Once completed, this place will be awesome. They have both air conditioned rooms and fan rooms. Pay extra for the air conditioned rooms because the rooms are small and a bit stuffy. I was tempted to let leave the door open to let the air in but II did not dare too because of mosquitoes and flies. They have a shared shower and toilet which was clean but I saw new ones still being built. The place is right on the water and during high tide you can snorkel and see corals around 50 meters out but I didn't do this because during low tide I saw A LOT or sea urchins and I did not have aqua shoes. The best thing about this place is the family who runs it. Every single one of them were a joy to get to know.
Wonderful, peaceful, clean
The family is wonderful. They answer any questions about the area, get anything you need, and are great down to earth people. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Book a room with air conditioning. Sunset from their pier is great. Highly recommend.
This place will exceed your expectations
"Alegria dive resort is the place to stay like no others. It's a family run business and Lee, Paul and Jon Jon looked after me as part of the team throughout the entire stay.
The place is modern and has hot showers, bar, food and obviously dining.
I came alone, but hadnt felt lonely not even a bit.
Paul is a fantastic diving instructor and would recommend experiencing the adventure under the water.
I would highly recommend this place!"
Amazing
The family that runs this accommodation is simply amazing. I have been to a lot of hotels / resorts of the last years but I have never experienced such a friendly and welcoming place. We felt almost as part of the family. Besides the amazing people there is a terrace behind the house which leads directly into the sea and you should definitely go snorkeling there. It's simply amazing. The son of the family - Jhon Jhon - will be happy to assist you with snorkeling. I already miss this place and I will definitely come back one day!

The resort is new The rooms are very clean and comfortable bed We did scuba diving which was amazing just in front of the resort The resort and bar is modern and has a good selection of drinks Very close to Kawasan falls The lady at the top was so helpful with everything even getting us a taxi back to cebu Fully recommend to anyone visiting alegria
